Join WRJ editor in chief Aaron Lelito for an individualized workshop designed to make your existing work publication-ready. Through a series careful readings with one-on-one feedback, participants will receive suggestions on content, style, editing, and formatting to prepare written works to be sent out for the submission process.

There’s nothing another set of eyes when you’re trying to polish a piece of writing you’ve been working on for months (or longer). This workshop will focus on those important final steps toward completing a piece and sending it out for consideration. Whether your are a new writer who is navigating the path to publication for the first time or an established writer looking to sharpen your revision skills, the close reading available in this workshop can help you hone your craft.

By joining this workshop, you will gain access to 2 60 minute sessions with guided writing exercises and feedback. In addition, you will have the opportunity for 1 follow-up session after the conclusion of the workshop. Days/times for meetings will be arranged on individual basis.

About the facilitator: Aaron Lelito has taught writing at the college level for over ten years and done freelance editing work for higher ed textbook publishers. Aaron began Wild Roof Journal in 2020 to further engage with the creative community at large by establishing online galleries that promote works of remarkable insight, vision, and introspection. Through these experiences, he has guided countless academic and creative writing projects to completion. Although the end goal of these projects can vary widely, his primary focus of this workshop is to bring the writer’s unique vision into its fullest potential.
